The Titan Summer Internship, in accordance with the Gee-Gee Performance Internship program at uOttawa, has helped developed multiple young professionals in the early stages of their careers providing them with a great overview of Performance Training, Coaching styles & deliveries, the Programming Process & Philosophies as well as Professional Processes to Report & Track testing results & progress over time.
The Titan Summer Internship is an 8 week program that is broken down into 8 in-person Workshops and 8 online Lectures. Within this curriculum, Interns will:
Participants in the Titan Internship Program have gone on to work as Strength Coaches in the NCAA, USport, & Private sector working for both big box and small private gyms. Participants have also gone on to complete degrees in Physiotherapy, Chiropractic & Medicine with a greater understanding of Athletic Movement and how to work successfully in a High Performance Environment.
All participants in the Titan Summer Internship will be placed with either a Team or Titan Program where they will learn through hands on experience how to deliver a High Performance program. Those who successfully complete the internship & show promise will earn paid opportunities to work during the summer months and beyond with Titan Performance.
The Titan Summer Internship is excellent for any aspiring Strength Coach who is looking to learn the Foundations of being a Professional Performance Coach.

The Internship is led by Joey Kwasniewski who has been working as a Professional Strength Coach for almost 20 years with multiple years of experience in the CFL (9 year w/ Ottawa RedBlacks, Calgary Stampeders), USport (15 years w/ uOttawa, University of Calgary), CEBL (2 years w/ Ottawa Blackjacks) & owning his own Performance Training business for almost 15 years.
Joey earned a BSc with Honours in Human Kinetics from uOttawa, an MKin degree from the University of Calgary and a CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) from the NSCA.
Joey has helped in the production of 2 USport National Championships in Soccer & Rugby, 2 Grey Cup Champions and 1 Finalist, 3 Vanier Cup Finalists, and hundreds of University & Professional athletes in a wide range of sports.
Leading the programming lectures is Tanner Care who is the current Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Simon Frasier University (NCAA).
Tanner is responsible for the development of over 250 NCAA athletes including Wrestling, Basketball (W), Track and Field, Soccer and Volleyball. Through his tenure in collegiate athletics as well as his private business, Tanner has assisted in the production of 13 All-Americans, 3 National Champions, 1 Conference Record Holder (200m), 5 All-Canadians, and 1 Silver Medal Rugby Championship.
