The JR Hockey program is for the developing athlete who is learning how to PROGRESS & take care of their body.
What to expect:
PHASE 1: GPP (General Preparatory Phase)
- Improve athletes working capacity and maximize training adaptations to prepare for workloads in future phases
- This phase typically focuses on improving weak links in strength, endurance, speed, flexibility, mobility and tissue quality
PHASE 2: Hypertrophy
- Phase of training with the emphasis on increasing lean muscle mass via increased cross sectional area
PHASE 3: Max Strength
- Focus on improving maximal strength and force production
PHASES 4-7: Power / Peaking Phase
- These phases are all about final preparation before the season starts. Where Controlled Explosiveness and Conditioning are the primary objectives.
- Popularized by Cal Dietz, this Tri-Phasic approach breaks down Movement Patterns with focuses on developing greater control in the Eccentric, Isometric and Concentric portion of the movement pattern.
- Conditioning and Agility / Reaction are also big emphasis’s as we aim to get our players ready to dominate training camps & tryouts.
