JR HOCKEY U14-U15

The JR Hockey Program is designed for developing athletes who are learning how to progress safely, build confidence, and take care of their bodies as they grow.

What athletes can expect:

  • Learn to Lift: Proper introduction to weightlifting with an emphasis on technique and safety
  • Speed Development: Progression of straight-line and multi-directional speed patterns
  • High-Performance Environment: Introduction to structured training standards and expectations
  • Athlete Development: Building maturity, consistency, and commitment on and off the ice

TITAN SPRING/SUMMER PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Titan Off-Season Training Phase Breakdown for developing Hockey Athletes

PHASE 1: GPP (General Preparatory Phase)

 - Improve athletes working capacity and maximize training adaptations to prepare for workloads in future phases

 - This phase typically focuses on improving weak links in strength, endurance, speed, flexibility, mobility and tissue quality


PHASE 2: Hypertrophy

 - Phase of training with the emphasis on increasing lean muscle mass via increased cross sectional area


PHASE 3: Max Strength

 - Focus on improving maximal strength and force production


PHASES 4-7: Power / Peaking Phase

 - These phases are all about final preparation before the season starts.  Where Controlled Explosiveness and Conditioning are the primary objectives.
- Popularized by Cal Dietz, this Tri-Phasic approach breaks down Movement Patterns with focuses on developing greater control in the Eccentric, Isometric and Concentric portion of the movement pattern.
- Conditioning and Agility / Reaction are also big emphasis’s as we aim to get our players ready to dominate training camps & tryouts.
